RARS Race Report & News About Upcoming Races July 15th, 2001 RARS is the Robot Auto Racing Simulation, a competition for programmers and an on-going challenge for practicioners of Artificial Intelligence and real-time adaptive optimal control. It consists of a simulation of the physics of cars racing on a track, a graphic display of the race, and a separate control program (robot "driver") for each car. I'll fix it real soon though. (for extensible values of soon) We have a new competitor, his name is Eugen Treise and he is from Germany. His drivers name is Mafanja. The driver uses the new OOP structure and will be public when it wins it first race. Jorge also submitted a new driver, also using the OOP structure. It is public. Dodger was also updated to version 8. Please keep in mind that what you submit for the races should be 0.81 compatible. (I use 0.83, but the API is compatible).
